After over 7 happy years with my 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX sedan, I traded her in for a beautiful 2008 WRX STI 5-door. What a glorious machine she is. Photos, Summer:
Newer shots (2009)
Winter:
STOCK SPECIFICATIONS: Performance and Exterior: Ordered Optional Equipment: Yellow pinstripe (alludes to the World Rally
Championship legacy)----Removed (they were peeling off) DIY added options: Front splash guards Aluminum mesh hood scoop grill and upper grill--keeps the rocks out of my radiator and top mounted air-air intercooler.
NEW STUFF COBB Access Port -- remapped the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to produce 12% more power and 19% more torque without further modification. Yes, it's now at approximately 341 BHP and 345 ft-lbs of torque! Future mods planned: COBB stainless steel downpipe and either a COBB or SPT stainless cat-back exhaust. Love that boxer engine sound!
Winter: Wheels: Sport Edition A7 (Silver Painted) (Chinese made) Size: 17x7.5 (4) Note: These wheels fit very close to the brake system (like about 1/4" clearance). If you have larger than OEM brakes, better check with Tirerack.com to see if they'll fit. Tires: Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D (Performance Snow)
My engine oil is Lubrication Engineers' 8530 (5w-30) MONOLEC SPB Engine Oil. It has all the right properties for my STI's turbo engine. Click here to view a .PDF copy of the 8530 oil's Technical Data Bulletin (right-click and "save target as" to download the bulletin for viewing later).
